Darkstar padded towards the border after leaving the camp, hardly checking to see if the former WindClan kit would follow him. After reaching the border, her stopped and turned around, waiting for Bloodkit to arrive.
The air was a little bit dank here, being ShadowClan's territory, but it was the border between ShadowClan and RiverClan. The ShadowClan leader didn't walk too close to the border - it might seem suspicious to any RiverClan cats that the ShadowClan leader's scent was so close to their border so soon after the attempt to steal some of the RiverClan prey.
But Darkstar simply wanted to talk to Bloodkit, this time, and it seemed safer to have the scent farther away from WindClan - anyway, Bloodkit smelled more like ShadowClan than anything else. The dark warrior nodded satisfactorily.

Bloodkit followed the ShadowClan leader out of the camp. The ShadowClan/WindClan kit wanted to investigate every bush and flower, but knew that she wasn't supposed to.
Looking at her paws, she followed Darkstar till the scent of water hit her small nose. The she-cat was about 6 moons now, and she was paractically a ShadowClan cat, once she was an apprentice.

Darkstar got up again as Bloodkit appeared.
"Hello there," he growled, nodding. "I wanted to talk to you, a bit away from the camp. Please follow me." The dark leader began to walk along the border.
"Bloodkit," began Darkstar again. "I was wondering - I found out a little bit about WindClan when we first spoke. Is there anything - anything - else you might be able to tell me? I don't want to push you, but... it would be very helpful to ShadowClan."
The ShadowClan leader looked at the kit. "You're about six moons. Apprentice time. Hmm. I might be able to make you a apprentice when I make Treeleg's kits into warriors... shouldn't be too long now." He gazed thoughtfully off, then looked expectantly at Bloodkit.

Bloodkit twiched her tail. "Umm..." she said, trying to remember, "I heard Hazelstream mention to her mate that Greifstar was going to eventually retire, and Hawkflight was going to be leader." Bloodkit shifted nervously, not sure that was what Darkstar wanted to hear.

"Really?" asked Darkstar. "Hmm... Hawkflight will be more difficult to work with. That could be a problem. Anyone else? Oh, and Bloodkit... do you think you could tell me who your parents are?" The leaders green eyes bore into the kit as he continued to pad. There was a fierce intensity in them that was dulled slightly by a tiny, grudging respect for the kit.

Bloodkit thought harder. " Umm... I think I heard Hawkflight talking about trying to overthrow her brother." Bloodkit paused, "My parents are... Hawkflight, and I think my father's name was Cottenpelt." she paused, waiting for her leader's reaction.

Darkstar stiffened suddenly, then glanced down at Bloodkit. "Hawkflight, and... Cottonpelt? Interesting." He checked the border, but it seemed normal enough.
"Thank you, Bloodkit. Expect to be made into an apprentice soon." The dark leader nodded, and motioned for the kit to follow him back to camp. "It's about time."

Bloodkit followed her leader, hoping that she didn't say anything to hurt her father.
