Frostpool dipped her head. "I agree." She swung her head around to the leaders. "Do you want to go against StarClan?" She asked her eyes narrowed. She wasn't going to lets these head strong cats doom them all.

"Do you want to go against StarClan?" Frostpool asked.
"Not on Greifstar's nine lives would I go against StarClan." Hawkflgiht told the medicine cat, "Breezefall, come here." the deputy called to the WindClan medicine cat. ------------------- "I would not go against StarClan, my leader, Shockstar would be ashamed." Swiftstar said.
" My mother would say that you live in the past to much, Swiftstar." Hawkflight said, "she would say'One who dwells on what happened in the past will not keep his head in the present.'"

Leopardstar purred with amusement at Hawkflight's comment. Her mother was wise. "To against StarClan would be to lead RiverClan into darkness and evil," she meowed confidently. ---- Firepaw hung her head when she saw what mentioning her dream had brought.

Stonepaw sat listening to the leader's though he should of left for home by now. He would go homw with his mentor Hawkflight though. All this talk about StarClan and RougeClan made him sure this was the feeling he has been getting from hi sister in ThunderClan. He also thought it had to do with Cinderpaw the day she had hurried out of the apprentice den. He kept his mouth shut though and kept listening.

"Sometimes fighting is not the answer!" Leopardstar snarled at the ShadowClan leader.
"Sometimes waiting is not either," he pointed out.
"Let's ask someone who has spoken to StarClan. Firepaw?" Frostpool asked.
"Wait," said the medicine cat apprentice proudly.
"I agree. Do we want to go against StarClan?" the medicine cat asked.
As the cats murmured that no, they did not want to go against StarClan, Darkstar grew more agitated.
"Of course I don't want to go against StarClan," he growled. "But how do we know that is StarClan's will? They never told Firepaw to wait, they only said that eight apprentices would defeat the rising rogue. Why apprentices? Why eight? Why wait? Are prophecies so important that we have to risk the forest for them? Which is better, losing the forest but fulfilling the prophecy, or fulfilling the prophecy, but losing the forest?"

Leopardstar was about ready to leap at Darkstar. "Why are you so quick to risk the lives of our warriors! Are you so foolish as to spill blood that couls have been saved! The prophecy said nothing about unecesary deaths! And I don't want to deal with them right now!" tghe spotted she-cat yowled with all the ferocity of LionClan. ---- Firepaw was shaken by Leopardstar's yowl. She looked definatly at Darkstar. "I don't want to have a den full of pateints yet," she hissed.

Darkstar curled his lip at Leopardstar's outbreak. "Why are you so quick to risk the lives of our warriors! Are you so foolish as to spill blood that could have been saved! The prophecy said nothing about unnecessary deaths! And I don't want to deal with them right now!" she yowled.
"I don't want to have a den full of patients yet," Firepaw hissed in a greement.
Darkstar looked at the medicine cat apprentice and RiverClan leader. "And how many unnecessary deaths may come from waiting?" he replied. "You can never tell the future. Maybe more cats would die then than if we attacked now." He dipped his head, anger and impatience oozing from his body. "But I can't go against two leaders, a deputy, a medicine cat, and her apprentice, now can I?" he whispered. "I will not stand in your way, but somehow three Clans uniting against one..." his voice trailed off, as he knew that the next words would never bode well. ---- Brackenpaw looked around at the Gathering. It was interesting, the news that would come. Brackenpaw didn't know what to do. He noted that Firepaw was talking to the Leaders. I wonder if she had the prophecy, too? he thought, curious.
It occured to Brackenpaw that maybe he should tell the Leaders about his dream. With this in mind, he padded over to them, and opened his mouth to speak.
"I had a dream-" he began. The ShadowClan leader groaned.
"Not you too," he growled. Brackenpaw looked at him in confusement.

Leopardstar narrowed her eyes at Darkstar. "Maybe this is a matter to talk to StarClan themselves about. I am travling to Moonpool with the medicine cats at half moon. You should come," the she-cat mewed calmly. ---- Firepaw looked at Brakenpaw. "You recieved the prophecy too!" she yowled in surprise.

Darkstar looked at Leopardstar, and opened his mouth to speak. Brackenpaw, however, didn't know he was going to (he was staring at Firepaw in astonishment) and spoke before the ShadowClan leader.
"You got the prophecy?!?" the WindClan apprentice meowed. "Then I know it must be true!" As he looked at the RiverClan medicine cat apprentice, he began to chant the prophecy in a low voice. "Eight apprentices, divided, must join together to defeat the rising rogue." Or watch the destruction of the forest, he thought.
Darkstar hissed. "I will go to the Moonpool, Leopardstar," he agreed. "And if they tell me to wait, I will. And I will ask an apology," he added. But I don't think going with the medicine cats is the best idea, he thought. The half-moon is a time for them - and them alone.
Brackenpaw watched in confusement as the ShadowClan leader and the RiverClan leader argued. He would have asked what the problem was, but they were leaders, and he was an apprentice. It would be rude for the young tom to ask the more superior cats about them.

Hawkflight listened to the ShadowClan and RiverClan leaders. Suddenly, out of nowhere, she heard the voice of Brackenpaw.
"I had a dream-" Brackenpaw started.
"Brackenpaw," Hawkflight hissed angrily, "why didn't you tell me this earlier.?" she let her eyes burn into the apprentice's pelt. --------------- Swiftstar looked at the other leaders as well as the WindClan apprentice. "I will go to the Moonpool as well." he said, diplomatically, "But don't think that I will leave the camp unguarded, I'm going to be leaving Dawnfire in charge."

"Brackenpaw," Hawkflight hissed angrily at the WindClan apprentice when he spoke, "why didn't you tell me this earlier?"
Brackenpaw hung his head. "I couldn't find you," he said truthfully. He couldn't find Hawkflight, but then, he hadn't looked.
Darkstar nodded at Swiftstar. That would be common sense, he said firmly to himself, but not out loud. He turned to Hawkflight scolding the apprentice. The ShadowClan leader, however, didn't say anything.

"We must be two of the eight!" Firepaw meowed in surprise. "So there will be leaders with us," she joked at the cats with her. --- Leopardstar nodded at the other leaders and Hawkflight. "Remember, in battle deaths are gauranted. In waiting no deaths are sure to happen," she advised Darkstar.

Darkstar sheathed and unsheathed his claws. "Sometimes in battles there are no deaths. But the stronger the enemy, the more likely it is that there will be deaths." And the longer we wait, the stronger they will be. the black tom thought. He, in the meantime, ignored the two apprentices.
"Yes," Brackenpaw agreed with Firepaw, purring. "Interesting."

Firepaw stood proudly. At least she wasn't in this alone. "What do you think about charging into battle right now?" she asked casually ----- "The longer we wait the stronger we get as well," Leopardstar reminded him.

Darkstar looked at Leopardstar and nodded. That hadn't occured to him. How many cats are completely loyal to our Clans? he thought. Remember the large journey, cats became close and then had to separate. What if that happened again?
His eyes blazed with fury, but the ShadowClan leader said nothing. --- "Charging into battle right now?" Brackenpaw repeated. He thought. "What a stupid idea! We're not ready. We should wait." He looked at Firepaw curiously. "Why do you ask?"
