The grass near the border of WindClan rippled slightly as a golden she-cat steadily slid along the border. She glanced behind her, looking for her newly made apprentice.
It was Fawnpaw's first training day, and Morningwhisker could not wait to get to know her better. The young warrior was barely out of apprenticeship herself, and so could understand the eagerness of the new apprentice.

Bushes wavered as the new apprentice bounded quietly after Morningwhisker.Bright blue eyes took in every tree in rock but she was sure it would take many explorations to remember it all.She glowed with pride at the territory they had.Fawnpaw had never been outside the camp and it was all so amazing.Through woodlands filled with chirping birds and skittering mice.So many colours and shapes!
As Fawnpaw padded about watching every little thing, she didn't realize she was catching up to her mentor. She skidded to a halt barely avoiding a collision.Ears pricked as she watched Morningwhisker.

Morningwhisker let out a purr of laughter as her apprentice barely missed knocking into her. "Hello to you too, Fawnpaw," she meowed in a carefree voice. "What do you want to learn today? We can still cover everything, so it doesn't really matter what you choose!"

Fawnpaw looked down disappointed. What kind of apprentice almost rams into there mentor the first day? When she heard Morningwhisker laugh, she smiled. "I get to choose?" she repeated. There were so many options.Hunting, border patrol, fighting! But what would she chose? "I want to learn some warrior moves!" she said excitedly. She would be prepared when an attack came but only if she learned.

"Alright," purred Morningwhisker, her whisker's twitching. "But before we start, let me show you the border so you don't cross it." Flicking her tail, the golden she-cat motioned to the border between ThunderClan and WindClan. "You can cross it accidentally, but don't get caught by the warriors," she teased.
