Featherpaw peeked out of the medicine den. She looked around. The leader and the others still talking. She walked past and smiled. She waved her tail and disappeared out of camp. She walked down a path a few steps then went off and into the trees. She looked around for Juniper berries, something they were low on. She had an odd feeling. Like something was out here with her. She twitched her tail from side to side to try to calm her-self down. She went on a few steeps and saw the berries. She went up to them and smelled, all were healthy. She started picking them of carefully. Her feeling came back. She felt as if she was choking. She shut her eyes and smelled the air. She couldn't smell any thing over the scent of the berries. She got low and hid in the Juniper bush and looked widely from one side to the other. In her mind she scolded her-self. Next time I'm so bringing a warrior with me! She listened. A thunder of heavy steps came closer and closer. The steps were clumpy and an uncaring way. A two-legged yowled far away. Featherpaw's went large in alarm. She sprinted out from the bush and up a tree. Braking and more thunder steps followed. Barking at her from below her Branch was a young Jack Russel terrier. About the size of a dog. Featherpaw could of took but didn't know the size befor now. Now she was at a dis-advantage. She hissed but it had no effect. She looked around. She scolded her-self, she hated needing help but she yowled out hopeing camp would here her. "Help!"

Morningwhisker, who had been hunting a mouse, jumped. That and Featherpaw's cry combined scared away the mouse, and Morningwhisker scolded herself, but then told herself that the cat in distress was of more worry anyway. The golden she-cat leaped away from the leaves she was in and sprinted towards the cat. She skidded out and was surprised to see their very own Medicine Cat apprentice being stalked by a dog. Morningwhisker sprinted towards Featherpaw and twisted herself around to hiss at the terrier.
"What are you doing here?" Morningwhisker asked Featherpaw in a small whisper. "Tch tch." The golden she-cat's claws sheathed and unsheathed as she began to itch for battle with the dog, or at least get something done, even if it was running away. The young warrior wasn't that experienced in these sort of situations. What would an experienced warrior do..? Morningwhisker wondered, but decided to try and stay away from the dog, attacking only if necessary.

Featherpaw on the branch in the tree, hissed . "I was gathering herbs what else? The dog started circling the tree and yapping noisily. Featherpaw dug her claws in the branch as it moved. Her back legs dangled and she struggled to stay up. Finally she got her back foot up and re-gained balance. She Worried about Morningwhisker. "I'm fine go get help!" she yelled.

Morningwhisker looked up at Featherpaw. Her whiskers twitched, just like they always did when she was making fun of a cat. "You know how to fight?" she asked the apprentice. "Even if you do, it wouldn't be very kind of me to leave you in danger while I go off to seek help."
The golden she-cat sprang towards the tree, clawing her way up it so she could talk to Featherpaw more easily. The terrier lunged for her, but Morningwhisker skirted around it. "Featherpaw? How about, I distract the dog, you go get help?" Morningwhisker suggested. "I can probably make it."

"You go, I'll distract the dog." With out waiting she lept from the tree and skidded across the ground. The Terrier ran after her. She went in and out between trees. The dog clumsily ran after her. With out quick footing it was several Tail-lengths behind.

"Featherpaw!" Morningwhisker hissed angrily, but she obediantly turned back to camp. Featherpaw was, in fact, only 3 moons younger than the golden she-cat, and Morningwhisker had a sort of soft spot for apprentices.
Morningwhisker thudded through the forest, ignoring any and all prey that she scared away. She needed to get help fast, and her sleek body was perfect for it. She ran, and shot through the camp entrance, struggling through a little bit of it.
To: Camp

Featherpaw jumping around the trees came to a stop as she had a half circle of trees around her. "Dead end!" She gasped and spun around as the Terrier came right up to her. She swatted her paw out and hit it's nose. Making the dog even more upset. It snapped it's jaws and just missed Featherpaw's leg. She lept up onto a low branch. Unable to reach the next one up she hissed and swatted her paws repetitively at the Terrier as it jumped at her over and over again. Featherpaw looked around. "Ohhh please someone get here soon!" she said just as the dog graved the branch and she lost her balance. She feel of and the dog jumped after her. It pined her down. She hissed and tried to bite it.

Sharptounge crashed out of some brambles to where Featherpaw was pinned. "Back off! Take your filthy muzzel away from here! Ugly muzzle at that!" Sharptounge struck the dog with her tounge sharper than a claw. The calico she-cat lept at the Terrier's back.

The dog whiped off of Featherpaw and Snapped it's jaws at Sharptounge. It barked and bite the she-cats tail as it went for it's back. Featherpaw hissed and Scratched the dogs side. It didn't let go of Sharptounge till Featherpaw hit it in the face. It growled and looked from one to the other not knowing witch to go for.

Sharptounge yowled in pain as the dog bit her. Her fur was puffed out, making her look almost as big as the dog. She lunged at it and landed squarely in between the dog's shoulder blades. It yipped in pain and tried to get at Sharptounge.

Featherpaw grinned but a Beagal Jumped out of some Bramble. "What!?!?" Featherpaw screamed. Another dog! And a hunting dog. She hissed and swatted at the Beagal. It's barks thundered out and it lunged at Featherpaw. She hoped to the side and jumped on it's back. The two went on battling as the dog ran off a bit Featherpaw on it's back. Both getting good hits in. Sharptounge would be on her own with the other dog while Feather did her best to fight the other.

Sharptounge saw another dog come out from the same brambles she had come out of the corner of her eye. Featherpaw would have to take care of it. Sharptounge clamped her jaws around the dog'd neck. It reared back and fell to the ground. Sharptounge lept off the dog before it crashed to the ground. The dog was heavily bleeding but not dead. The dog got up and hobbled away.

Featherpaw was biteing the other dog's ear. It was still strong and barking. Featherpaw was swung in the air as the dog worked endlessly to get her off. She hit a tree and slumped to the ground. She was unconscious. The dog growled and went over to her. It bite her shoulder. When she didn't react it stepped back. Then went forward to bite her neck.

Sharptounge saw the dog about to kill the unconcious Featherpaw. "No! I will kill you one hundred time over if you lie a single one of your ugly paws on that cat!" Sharptounge's words pierced the dog's heart like a claw. It turned to face her and growled at her. The calico she-cat pounced at him. She landed in front of the dog. Sharptounge dug her thorn sharp claws deep into the dog's flesh and slowly dragged them across the dog's face.

The dog yelped but tried to attack. It was unable and stumbled back. It ran tail under. It ran out. The look on it's face said it would be back again. Featherpaw was still unconscious at the base of the big tree she was slammed into.
